[Pics] Something modern

So, lalabubus  posted some pictures in the Impromptu thread at GoS that I really liked. I liked them in fact so much that I wanted to have them in my game. Well, I made some recolours and then build a house specially for them (because Two Dogs and an Olive rarely fits in the tiny rooms of the houses I usually build XD). It was also nice to try a different style.





A house with huge windows, so your neighbours can follow your every step :P. I never quite understood the appeal of super modern houses. They always seem so cold and lacking personality. It was fun to build nevertheless.





The living room. The lightning is a bit weird because Radiance lightning and split-levels don't work so nice together.
And yes, that's a guy and a group of penguins dancing in the kitchen :D





I'm quite proud of the bathroom because normally my bathrooms just look boring. There's something missing on the wall, though but I'm not sure what. Any thoughts?







Second floor office which is only half done but I'm showing it anyway.



The bedroom, obviously. Also the only room with curtains. I got lazy decorating the second floor or is this just what minimalism is about? :D

I feel this is not finished yet, so you might see more pictures of this house. I also want to move it in my main 'hood and have some vampire casanova move in :)

It looks fantastic. I like the dull tones accented by brighter colors.

For the bathroom, maybe some larger towels for getting out of the shower kind of thing?

You know, it's rare for me to see a modern house that I actually like( I too find them a little cold) but this is really great! I think it's the mixture of metal and wood, it gives the place a little more character. Of course I have to ask, will you be releasing those paintings ever? They look really cool on such a big mesh.

It's...it's gorgeous. And this is coming from someone who prefers the tiny, cluttered cottage kind of look. And I don't feel like it's impersonal because the colors and textures are so eye catching, particularly in the living room and bathroom. And I like how you softened it with natural materials (bamboo, reeds, wicker).

Oh, these picture recolors look and suit to these rooms really lovely. You've manage to make the space look clean but not empty and cold, that's not easy :) - I like it.
